Climate of France

The climate of France varies from region to region. The south of France has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. The western coast enjoys a much milder climate, but during the summers, temperatures can soar. Most cities empty out during the second half of July and August, when many French people take their summer vacation.
