Lyon offers plenty of scope for hire car touring. The city is within easy reach of a number of scenic drives, including the wine producing Beaujolais villages of the northwest. The pretty town of Vienne, with its Roman roots makes for another worthy car hire excursion.
Lyon’s events calendar is jam-packed with vibrant festivals and events which include July’s Les Nuit de Fourviére performing arts festival and December’s dazzling Festival of Lights event.
Sport, especially rugby, draws in the crowds too. The city’s Gerland Stadium was even chosen as a host venue for 2007’s Rugby World Cup
