A walking tour is one of the best ways to see what Perugia has to offer in terms of interesting visitor attractions. Perugia has a rich cultural heritage, dating back to Etruscan times. Today, the city boasts a number of architectural gems including St. Francesco and St. Barnardo Oratory, as well as the 15th century Palace of the old university and the impressive Major Fountain in the middle of the town square. Perugia offers excellent choice in terms of shopping, with stylish boutiques to be found in and around via Alessi, via Baglione and via G. Marconi. A relaxing coffee at one of the outdoor cafés on Piazza della Repubblicca is by far one of the easiest ways to while away a sunny afternoon.
