Introduction

Situated on the sun-kissed southern Portuguese coastline, Praia Da Rocha has long been a popular getaway for those in need of a dash of escapism. Its most popular draw is its vast beach space; not only is it the largest along this particular stretch of coastline, it’s also wide enough to accommodate peak summer crowds.
A medieval fortress towers high on the eastern part of the city, harking back to the days when it was used to ward of pirate’s, it is now a major attraction and offers excellent ocean views. Praia Da Rocha comes alive at night, with a string of bars, restaurants and casino open for business, even during the autumn and winter months.

Portugal has some fantastic restaurants, and Praia da Rocha is no exception. Restaurante F offers diners traditional Portuguese food and some of the freshest fish you’re likely to find in the area. If you’re in the mood for Italian cuisine, La Gioconda is a popular choice with natives and tourists alike.
