Fresh hopes for 2007 as ArgusCarHire.com sponsored Eoin Murray enters the British Touring Car Championship
Sponsored by ArgusCarHire.com, Irish Racing prodigy Eoin Murray has confirmed that he will compete in the high profile BTCC Championship in 2007 with his team, Quest Racing. The Dublin driver made a big impression in last years Championship, winning the BTCC.net ‘Revelation of the Year’ poll after his fantastic debut performance.
Hopes are high for Murray, who will be driving his ArgusCarHire.com sponsored Alfa 156 touring car in the Championship. He was presented with the S2000 spec Alfa Romeo after winning the prestigious European Alfa Challenge in 2005.
Mechanical problems ended his chances in 2006 despite a promising start, and the experience has made him more determined than ever to succeed in this years Championship. Speaking about the coming championship, Murray said - “We have some experience of the car from last year and we are aware of the updates my car needed for the UK tracks and Dunlop tires…. It looks like it’s going to be extremely competitive this year. I’m really excited to be involved and I can’t wait to line up on the grid at Brand’s Hatch… I have to thank my sponsors and backers because racing in the BTCC this year would not be possible without their support”.
The first rounds of the Championship will be held from the 31st March – 1st April at Brands Hatch where Eoin hopes to add to his already impressive race history.
