There are numerous trams coming in and out of St Kilda. They always get right of way on the roads here.
Traffic leading to Melbourne city centre tends to be a little heavier, especially during weekday mornings and evenings during the rush hours.
The Esplanade tends to be more prone to traffic than other roads in the area. If possible, avoid during public holidays to shorten journey times.

The most famous attraction in St Kilda is Luna Park, a historic amusement park and entertainment venue near the district centre. As well as being home to rides over 100 years old, it also hosts concerts and sporting events from time to time.
No trip to St Kilda should be complete without a visit to its beach. The beach is one of the most famous in Melbourne and attracts thousands of visitors on a daily basis. Nearby, the Esplanade has plenty of places selling surfing and diving gear.

The nearest major airport to St Kilda is Melbourne Airport, which is 11 miles northeast of the suburb. The airport is the principal air terminal serving the Melbourne area and is one of the busiest in Australia. It has four terminals.
The airport can be reached via the M2, which goes south to Melbourne city centre. Take the M1 eastbound then south on Kings Way onto St Kilda Road. Keep going south, and you’re there.
