With cycle paths and lanes throughout the city, Victoria is Canada’s cycling capital. As a consequence, the number of cyclists is relatively high, therefore drivers are advised to be mindful of them when travelling around the city.
While Victoria’s streets have not been constructed in a grid iron format, the city is still straightforward to navigate

Airport Information

The city’s airport, Victoria International Airport, is located 26km away on the north side of the island near the town of Sidney. From here, travellers can catch a direct flight to destinations throughout Canada and the rest of North America.
By car, the airport is best reached from Victoria via Highway 17. A direct bus service is in operation for those without access to their own vehicle and takes around an hour.
