Advice for Renting a Car in Belfast City Airport:
In Northern Ireland, cars drive on the left hand side of the road. If you are not used to driving on this side of the road, it is worth taking your car for a short test drive around your car rental agent’s car park to familiarise yourself with this type of driving.
As soon as you arrive in Belfast City Airport to pick up your car, be sure to have all of your documentation ready to present to the agent on duty at the desk. Other useful facilities at Belfast Airport include a children’s play area, baby change facilities, a travel agency and a quiet room. There is also an outside smoking area which is located just beyond security.
Driving to Belfast City Airport
If driving to Belfast City Airport from the city centre, follow signs for City Airport/Bangor on the Sydenham Bypass (A2). If driving from the west and south, follow the Westlink M3 in the direction of Bangor and you will find the airport is located 3km to the left of the Sydenham Bypass. If travelling from the north, follow the M3 towards Bangor and you will see the airport is located 3km to the left on the Sydenham Bypass.
