Much of the city centre is pedestrianized so driving in the city centre might prove hard to navigate. Most areas of interest in the city are within walking distance.
Peterborough has excellent transport connections. The A1(M) runs through the city to London and Cambridge.
The city has numerous car parks located at shopping centres and elsewhere around the city. Most car parks operate a pay and display scheme, observe local parking regulations to avoid getting a fine or having your vehicle clamped.
