Toulouse has a humid subtropical climate with temperatures hitting the mid to late twenties throughout the summer months.

Important things to note

The centre of Toulouse is fairly small and most areas of interest are within comfortable walking distance. However, the Cité de l’Espace is beyond the city limits and is within driving distance of the city.
Be aware that parking spaces in the city are limited. It’s recommended to park at the Metro station and travel into the city by Metro.
Seatbelts are compulsory in both the front and rear seats of the vehicle.
The highways surrounding Toulouse head towards Paris, Bordeux, Marseille and Barcelona.

There are plenty of sightseeing opportunities in Toulouse. The Place du Capitol is an impressive square where you’ll find the stunning Theatre du Capitole. This gorgeous opera house stages regular performances.
There are many places to eat in Toulouse offering a range of regional specialities such are crepes, foie gras and Armanac. You’ll also discover many restaurants and cafes at the Place du Capitole. For a more lively evening out, the Vieux Quarter has a more vibrant nightlife with a whole host of bars.
Sports enthusiasts should check out a game at the Stade de Toulouse – considered the home of French Rugby. The city becomes alive with excitement on match days, so be sure to soak up the atmosphere and see a game if you can.
Families will enjoy taking a trip to Cité de l’Espace (the “space city”) which offers a range of space and aviation exhibits as well as a number of hands-on and interactive exhibits that kids will love.
The Canal du Midi connects the Garonne River with the Étang du Thau. This UNESCO world heritage site is the perfect place to take a leisurely afternoon stroll or bike ride.
