Important things to note

Siena city centre is pedestrianized and as such, cars are not permitted anywhere in the city centre. Most areas of interest are accessible on foot within the city.
There is ample parking outside of the city walls. Parking fees have risen significantly in recent years, particularly in more convenient car parks.
Siena had excellent transport links, connecting to the city of Florence by Superstrada, which also goes by Perugia and Rome.
