Kuala Lumpur is notorious for its traffic during rush hour. If you can, ensure that you drive between the mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
In some parts of the city such as Bangsar, street parking can be a nightmare. To be on the safe side, use an actual car park in order to guarantee a space.
Some drivers in Kuala Lumpur may choose to change lanes without indicating., which can be a big problem on the motorways.

The city’s most notable landmark is the Petronas Towers, formerly the world’s tallest buildings. They stand 1,483ft in height, have 88 floors each and offer panoramic views of the whole of Kuala Lumpur if you’re feeling brave enough to reach the top floor!
If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by the skyscrapers and bright lights, a trip to Little India in the Brickfield district will offer a welcome change of pace. Just like setting foot in downtown Mumbai, this neighbourhood is brilliant if you want to pick up a bargain or sample some cheap street food.
One of the best natural attractions in Kuala Lumpur is the Batu Caves. An ideal place for anyone who fancies a trip somewhere adventurous, the caves are in the northern part of the city limit. Rock climbers who want something gentle yet scenic will love them.
The best family attraction in the city is Sunway Lagoon. This theme park has many different rides that visitors young and old will love, while it’s a good place to spot some of the city’s major landmarks from afar.
Airport Information
Kuala Lumpur International Airport is 15 miles south of the city centre. It has three main passenger terminals, two of which for international flights, plus it serves almost every continent and is a growing hub for low-cost airlines.
The airport is directly accessible via the E6 expressway, which goes north towards the city centre as well as some of the southern satellite towns.
