Important things to note

Parking in Penzance shouldn’t pose too problematic due to the provision of various car parks around the town. Long stay parking for those heading across to the Isles of Scilly is also readily available.
The A30 is Penzance’s nearest main road and connects the town to the rest of Cornwall and further afield.
To get to Land’s End, continue along the A30, which can get a bit twisty in places heading further west.

Highlights & Hotspots

In June each year, Penzance hosts a festival in celebration of Midsummer. Known as the Golowan Festival, the event sees the town come to life, with members of the local community participating in a series of processions along decorated streets. Visitors arrive in their thousands to attend this event which has come to be recognised as a symbol of the town.

Airport Information

Newquay Airport is the closest airport to Penzance, located approximately 40 miles away. Direct internal flights to London, Stansted and Gatwick are readily available, along with an increasing number of those to European destinations.
Newquay Airport is best reached by car from Penzance via the A30. For going to the Isles of Scilly, Land’s End Airport is just a few miles west of the town along the B3306.
