All areas of interest within the city are within easy walking distance. The city has a relatively small radius, so it’s unlikely you’ll need to drive in the city centre. Other tourist attractions that are a little further afield will certainly require a car for travel.

Airport Information

Rovaniemi Airport is a short 12-minute drive from the city centre as it is located only six miles northeast of the city. The airport is easily accessible from the city centre, following the E75 motorway.
The airport is the largest in the north of the country, but the majority of flights go to Helsinki, with a small number flying internationally.
