Important things to note

It is the law to drive with two red warning triangles in the vehicle at all times in case of an accident.
At intersections, it is customary to give way to the right and drivers already on the roundabout have priority.
Observe local parking regulations to avoid getting a fine or having your vehicle towed. In blue parking zones, parking is usually only allowed for two hours during the day.

The Castle of San Antón is a must for history buffs. This site has a museum where visitors will learn more about Galicia. Another popular place is the Tower of Hercules. This impressive UNESCO world heritage site dates back to the 2nd century and offers fantastic views across the city.
Art lovers will be at home here with a range of galleries and museums to choose from. The Fundación Caixa Galicia and Fundación Barrié de la Maza host a diverse range of contemporary exhibitions. Meanwhile, the Museuo de Bellas Artes houses works by European masters.
Orzán and Riazor beaches are located within the city, to the west of the peninsula. These beaches are popular with tourists and holiday makers, owing to the crystal clear waters and fine sand. Less crowded beaches include As Lapas, San Amaro, Oza and Matadero.

Airport Information

La Coru?±a Airport is located approximately four miles southwest of the centre of La Coru?±a and is accessible via the N-550 motorway, which is easily reachable from a few of the southern suburbs.
The airport is one of the main air terminals for the Galicia region, although it’s not one of the main airports for Spain. People often change at larger airports to get to the city.
