Car Hire Torrevieja

Sitting along the sun drenched coastline of Costa Blanca, Torrevieja’s sandy beaches, coves and glistening waters have long been a magnet for tourists looking for a decent climate where they can unwind. The name itself means ‘Old Tower’ and dates back to the earlier part of the 18th century when Torrevieja was a fishing village. Today the town is one of the fastest growing in Spain, largely thanks to the tourist industry. With great weather almost guaranteed, many Spanish and English have chosen Torrevieja to build their dream holiday home. As well as an abundance of bars, restaurants and water sport activities you would expect, the Salt Lakes and nearby fishing villages are worth checking out.

Highlights & Hotspots

To the west of town you will find the ever popular Salt Lakes, where bathers can cover themselves in natural mud packed with minerals, leaving your skin feeling as though you’ve spent a day in the spa. This destination is also a popular route for bike rides and is well worth a visit.
Aquopolis is an impressive waterpark which features enough rides and attractions to please both adults and children. The Black Hole and Kamikaze are not for the faint-hearted, but there are also a number of rides for young kids and plenty of sunbeds for those wanting to sip a cocktail by the pool.
Lady Cupcake offers those with a sweet tooth a unique experience; enjoy fresh tea and coffee in their library as you indulge in their homemade cupcakes. They also offer a customising service for birthdays, and their bagels, sandwiches and other savoury treats.
