Bournemouth is easy to travel around by car with most parts of the city being clearly signposted. However, it’s recommended to plan ahead to avoid getting lost.
It’s recommended to avoid driving in and around the city during morning and evening rush hours as roads can be congested with high volumes of traffic.
There are plenty of parking spaces in the city centre including multi-storey and on-street parking. Take care to observe local parking regulations to avoid a fine or being clamped.

Airport Information

Bournemouth Airport is located approximately four miles northeast of Bournemouth city centre and is accessible via the A338, which then leads onto the B3073 Parley Lane.
The airport mainly caters for domestic flights, although the odd seasonal flight to southern Europe is available during the summer when demand goes up.
