Important things to note

Parking in Boston can be quite difficult at times. If you want to park your car somewhere safe, it’s best to do so when it’s quiet during the day.
The Boston Common Visitor Information Center on 148 Tremont Street is open from 8.30am to 5pm from Monday-Saturday. On Sundays, it’s open from 10am to 6pm.
Some drivers in Boston can be aggressive, especially in rush hour traffic. Make sure that you’re polite and courteous when on the road, and you should be fine.

Highlights & Hotspots

The Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown is a monument to those who lost their lives in the American Civil War in 1775. Admission is free while many maritime relics such as the Charlestown Navy Yard are also nearby.
The Museum of Fine Arts on 465 Huntington Avenue is the city’s largest art museum. French impressionist paintings and an array of works from Monet sit alongside Ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian works. While there’s also a museum with portraits of local heroes like Samuel Adams.
The Sam Adams Brewery on 30 Germania Street, Jamaica Plain, has tours of the site as well as free samples once the tour finishes. The Harpoon Brewery offers the same thing and they are both a must for any beer lovers.
The Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route which takes in 16 historic sites around Boston, is a great way of exploring the city as a whole. Beginning at Boston Common, it takes in the Old State House and Old North Church, among other things.

Airport Information

Boston Logan International Airport is the major airport in Boston. It has four terminals and a total of six runways. There are flights to and from Dublin, Shannon, London Heathrow and other destinations across Europe, North America and South America.
To get to and from Boston Logan, which is three miles northeast of Downtown Boston; you can go to pick-up points at each terminal. In relation to other major US airports, Boston Logan is quite close to the city itself.
