Important things to note

Most of the major roads in Daytona are pretty wide, meaning that traffic isn’t too much of a problem except during peak times.
International Speedway Boulevard tends to get congested whenever there is a NASCAR race taking place at the course.
Going out of Daytona Beach, the best route is the Interstate 95, although the Interstate 4 is handy for going westbound.

Where better to start than Daytona International Speedway? The racing circuit, built in 1959, is the birthplace of NASCAR and the famous Daytona 500 race. It holds 168,000 spectators and has a range of attractions around the main course.
One of the best places to catch a classical music performance is the Peabody Auditorium. Here, some local orchestras play to capacity crowds, while the London Symphony Orchestra performs on stage on occasions.
The Museum of Arts and Sciences is a good place to get away from all the usual touristy stuff. Here, you’re likely to find fine examples of African, Chinese and Cuban art as well as Florida’s most complete collection of fossils.

Daytona Beach International Airport is just over a mile from the city centre. It serves destinations throughout the United States and has one main passenger terminal. Charlotte and New York-LaGuardia are the most popular destinations.
The airport is conveniently located along International Speedway Boulevard, which goes eastwards into the city centre.
