Introduction

Located in Wisconsin, Milwaukee is the largest city in the state and lies in the county seat of Milwaukee County. Important things to note

There is plenty of parking facilities outside the city centre both in car parks and metered on-street parking. Parking in the business districts can be expensive though.
The city itself is easy to navigate around with block numbers being consistent all over the city and in the suburbs with many areas of interest clearly signposted.
Traffic conditions vary widely, but generally it’s recommended to avoid driving in or around the city during morning and evening rush hours.

Experience the great outdoors, or just head out with the family on a sunny afternoon and enjoy a lakeside picnic at Lakefront Park. At the edge of Lake Michigan, this is an excellent for walking or cycling as well as swimming.
Animal lovers and families should save a day to spend at Milwaukee County Zoo. This excellent zoo is home to an array of different species and offers great activities for kids of all ages. You’ll also have the opportunity to feed the sea lions for a small additional fee.
Many know that Milwaukee is famous for being the birthplace of the Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The Harley-Davidson Museum is a great place to visit even if you’re not born to be wild! The museum is home to numerous exhibits, which go some way to tell the history of this famous brand.

Airport Information

The city is served by General Mitchell International Airport, located southeast of the city approximately 10 miles out of the city centre. The airport is easily accessible via I-94 E and is roughly a 15-20 minute drive away depending on traffic.
The airport largely has connecting flights across the US and Canada. For international flights, O’Hare International Airport in Chicago is just over an hour’s drive away on the I-94 E.
