The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) is the best place in the city to catch a Broadway production, concert or even an art-house film. It seats over 3,000 people and is one of the most unique sights in the entire state.
Set in the oldest part of Providence, the Roger Williams National Memorial celebrates the man who first called for freedom of religion in the country. It has several unique exhibits dedicated to Williams as well as a short film screened about his life.
Every summer, Providence SoundSession is a local music festival which is held in the city. Over seven days, a series of gigs are held across several venues, encompassing many acts from a variety of genres and sub-genres.
One of the best venues for live music and sport is the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, an indoor arena which holds over 12,000 people. It stages live ice hockey, basketball and a few conventions, as well as live music from some of the biggest artists on the planet.
