Explore Larnaca’s history by visiting the numerous ancient sites dotted around the city such as the temples and the Ancient Kition which is over 3000 years old, where you’ll discover the ancient city walls and ruins of the temple build on a temple from Bronze Age.
For an underwater adventure, take a trip to the Alpha Divers scuba diving centre where you can explore the underwater seascapes and wreck sites that wait beneath the surface. There are a range of other water sports on offer such as kayaking, parasailing and paddleboats for those who are less enthusiastic about diving and underwater exploration.
Phinikoudes beach is a blue flag beach with plenty going on along the shoreline. Dotted with cafes and bars for those wanting to lay on the golden sandy beach with a cocktail and bask in the sun. Alternatively, Protaras beach is much quieter for those seeking a more peaceful way to soak up the sun.
A great place for the family to visit is the Camel Park located just beyond Larnaca’s city limits. Take a camel ride through the countryside and then cool off in the pool. There’s also a great play area for kids if they don’t fancy a camel ride. The play area includes diverse attractions such as a bouncy castle, go-carts, flight-simulators and a petting zoo.
