Terms and Conditions:
“The lowest price or the difference back” price promise will be honoured if you find a cheaper car hire price with the same car hire company on a competitor’s website. Pickup and return dates, location and booking details should be identical. The car hire booking details that must be identical are the Supplier brand (car hire company), fuel type and policy, one way fees, on airport location or off airport location, payment model i.e. pre-pay/part pay/deposit/post-pay, mandatory extras (e.g. snow tyres), cross-border travel fees, car type and size, drivers age conditions, mileage policy, airport fees, insurance excess requirement (i.e. the deposit to be authorised by the car rental agent on the vehicle driver’s credit card), bundled products (e.g. insurance included in the rental price). It is important to bear in mind that ‘like for like’ refers to product and service and not additional options. Optional extra costs including additional driver, child seats, GPS systems etc. will not be considered i.e. if the price is for an off airport rental and Argus Car offer is on airport, this will not be deemed ‘like for like’.
The price promise of the lowest price or the difference back may not include vehicles that have an “on request”, “unconfirmed” or “denied” status with Argus Car Hire or the company being compared and does not apply to promotional offers.
The price promise team will give the difference back on ‘like for like’ rates found on other websites under the following circumstances: a) When customers search online and find a cheaper rate on another website before they have made a booking with b) When customers have an existing booking with and find a cheaper rate on another website Customers must submit their price promise claim at least 48 hours before their pick-up date and within 7 days of the car hire reservation. Customers booking with Argus Car Hire are entitled to claim the Price Promise up to 4 times per year. Only 1 claim can be made per booking.Agents at Argus Car Hire must verify the terms and conditions of the alternative offer. When the price, supplier and terms and conditions have been checked, a member of the price promise team will be in contact with an update on your quoted rate within 48 hours.All price promise requests are handled Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
